TSA- Putting the Tits and Ass into Security

Right now if you are flying through American airports you have to make sure you are not packing anything dangerous, this includes nail clippers, liquids over 100ml (3.4oz), snow-globes, and gel-shoe inserts in your carry-on baggage. Make sure nothing like spare change, keys, belt buckles and anything that might make the metal detector, Speaking of shoes make sure you take them off because there could be explosives in them.

So what is the new thing going on at your local airports? Either you get a full body scan or a pat-down. The thing is neither of these options are fully explained to the person on the receiving end.

First we have the full body scan. They use something called Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) and there are two types of imaging technology, millimeter wave and backscatter. I am not going to go into the safety of these scans but focusing on the results. Both of technologies end up with an image of the person that is sans clothing. These images are said not to be able to be saved nor should they ever get viewed by the outside. Yet those pictures have been, people have made fun of their coworkers anatomy (or lack there of).

Next we have the pat-down. As of yet there is no standard method, described on how the pat-down is to be handled (I checked the website). There has been a number of reports of individuals having negative experiences (their words not mind) of the pat-down. This have been posted on youtube, tweeted about, etc. I cannot judge on the nature of them seeing I was not there.

Now people are calming this or that about why these are wrong, from the radiation, to the Fourth Amendment , to privacy. I agree with all of these actually but there is another.My argument is this, when someone has to see or touch your dick or tits to get on a plane that is a line too far. When you have to be humiliated to go from one part of the country we have given up our freedom. I have said this and others have said it we have sat around and let our freedoms be stripped one at a time because we want to be safe. And this safety is what is killing us.

But wait you do have a third option! Don’t fly! Drive! Because during the September 11 attacks 3000 people died (Wikipedia), not like more people die in car accidents each month (wolframalpha).
Because it is so easy to drive across the Pacific Ocean. And yes they say you don’t have to fly, sorry to say but in the world we live being somewhere in less than a day half the world away kind of maters.

The ball is in your court TSA I know I’m already on the no fly-list for things I’ve said before on this site, so fuck you.
